We’ve been missing you so bad!

Porch Pickup, Summer Reading, and June Events

We have been diligently working to bring you quality service despite the mandatory state shutdown. Though our doors had to be closed we remained open with programs on Facebook and Zoom. We provided e-books on Cloud Library and Tumblebooks!

Recent challenges have stretched our imaginations to find new ways to serve you, now and in the future. As Luzerne County slowly begins to reopen, we’ve been planning and preparing toward eventually seeing you in person again!

There are specific steps that libraries must take in order to safely restore services, following guidelines developed at the state level by the Office of Commonwealth Libraries. So reopening will be more like the slow turn of a dial than a quick flip of a switch. And there will still be safety guidance in place once we do open our front door.

Our first step began this week with our Porch Pickup service!

Call us at 570-654-9847 at the following times to schedule pickup of library materials.

  • Monday through Thursday from 2 pm to 6 pm
  • Friday through Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm

Holds are not being delivered between libraries yet, so for now, they’re limited to West Pittston Library’s materials only.
